There are so many different denominations and sects in the Christian faith. How do we know what is true, sound doctrine? The Word of God shows us and the Holy Spirit convicts us. Below are our beliefs and values within the Body of Christ.
1) God is omniscent, omnipresent, and omnipotent and is the one and only God
2) Jesus Christ is the only Begotten Son of God, who died for our sins, rose again, and now sits at the right hand of God
3) The Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus to comfort, guide, and convict His Church
4) Salavation is through repentance and faith in Jesus alone. Works cannot gain our Salvation.
5) Baptism is a public profession of faith. However, it is not required for one to have Eternal Life.
6) There is only one way to God, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
7) God's Word (the Bible) is the inerrant Word of God and is inspired by the Holy Spirit. Even though it was written by men, it is without error and contains God's instructions to mankind. It should be read and interpreted literally unless otherwise indicated.
8) The Church is the body of Christ and consists of every believer since Jesus' ministry and will conclude at the end of the current age.
9) Israel is still God's chosen people and should be supported and encouraged in a Godly manner.
10) We are living in the season of the Lord's Return.
11) Jesus will soon return in the clouds, the trumpet will sound, and the dead in Christ will rise. Afterwards, we who are still alive will meet them in the air and be transfigured in the blink of an eye into our glorified bodies. This is called the Rapture.
12) Following the Rapture, the world will go through the most horrific seven year period in the history of mankind called the Tribulation.
13) The Lord will return at the end of the Tribulation, physically and in all of His glory, with His saints and angels behind Him. He will judge all of the earth, rewarding those who kept the faith during the Tribulation and condemning those who took the mark of the beast. Satan will be bound and cast into the bottomless pit.
14) The earth will go through a literal 1,000 year reign where Jesus will rule from Jerusalem and peace will abound. This will conclude with Satan being released and a final rebellion by the unrepentant. God will then have a final judgement. Finally, the earth and heaven will be destroyed with fire and a new earth and new heaven will descend. Eternity with Jesus as Lord is so exciting!
