Many of you have probably heard of the European Union. It seems like a good idea right- have all of the euro using countries form their own economical superpower. WRONG!!!! Because, in the Bible, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had a dream. It was of a golden statue made of various metals.
I won't go into the meanings of all of the other parts of the statue (although the image is pretty self explanatory), but the all of the previous great world kingdoms have come to pass, with one exception: the Revived Roman Empire. This kingdom is represented by the feet of the stature and is, due to the weaker material, more fragile and less enduring than the previous kingdoms. (Just a little bit of Biblical trivia for any one who cares, Daniel told King Nebby that the head, made of gold and the most valuable, was a symbol for Babylon and Nebby's rule. He then preceded to become narcissistic and built a statue of himself from gold and decreed that all of Babylon will bow down to it. He then spent a long part of his reign in the fields of his kingdom, acting like an animal and eating grass until he got over himself. If that doesn't prove that God has a sense of humor I don't know what does!)
"You, O king, were looking and then, there was a single great statue; that statue, which was large and of extraordinary splendor, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was awesome. "The head of that statue was made of fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of bronze, its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay. You continued looking until a stone was cut out without hands, and it struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them. "Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed all at the same time and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them was found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth."
-Daniel 2: 31-35
Anyway, biblical scholars, and I as well, conclude that this means that before or during the rise of the greatest of all antichrists, the Antichrist, the borders of the old Roman Empire will once again come into existence. Having said that, look at the image above. This one is the borders of the old Roman Empire as it was during it's reign. The one at the bottom of the page is the new European Union's member countries right now. Now, if you need even more convincing, I've done a bit of research and have found out that every last country, except Egypt, needed to define the old borders have applied for membership to EU. They will all be accepted no later than 2015 according to the EU's official website. Don't you love how God's Word makes no sense whatsoever, and, then all of a sudden, everything drops into place.
Thank you all for reading my articles, and I hope to see you back for my next discussion. God Bless You!
