Well, folks, after doing some digging, I found a new threat to Christianity in the form of a new faith movement called Chrislam. It is a combination of Christians and Muslims who believe that they can reconcile the differences between the two religions and make them one. I was reading an article about Nigeria.
There is a Muslim teacher there called Saka. He preaches that Muslims and Christians are descendants of Abraham (which, according to the article is supported by the Bible, the Koran, and DNA testing). However, Saka also professes that he had a vision from God, instructing him to bridge the gap between the two religions.
Of course, in Muslim doctrine, they believe that Muhammad was the last prophet but not the only one. They also believe Jesus was a prophet and teacher, but that he did not die on the cross. However, I cannot see the kind of illogical thinking that has to be involved in a Christian who can think that Islamic beliefs can be incorporated into our own. Or, vice versa. Muslim's faith is built around earning your way into heaven. Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the only way into Heaven. (Eph.2:8,9 - For by grace are ye saved through faith, not of yourselves...not of works) So, how can a works-based religion mingle with a faith-based religion? It can't. In my opinion, this is just another way that Satan is making us accustomed to the idea of a one world religion, and, at the same time, he is destroying the faith and communion of God's people (Kind of like killing two birds with one stone).
I'm sorry this was such a short article, but it still proves that many unthinkable things are becoming reality in today's world. It'll only get worse before it gets better.
