These are my thoughts.
People are going to watch us to see when we mess up, Christ did not but we will, the greatest witness we have is what we do after we do something wrong.

Mark 3:4 King James Version (KJV) 4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
Mark 3:4 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
4 Then he asked, “On the Sabbath should we do good deeds or evil deeds? Should we save someone’s life or destroy it?” But no one said a word.

These are my thoughts. Doing right has no time frame, at the times we often least expect we find chances to help people.

Mark 3:5 King James Version (KJV) 5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Mark 3:5 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
5 Jesus was angry as he looked around at the people. Yet he felt sorry for them because they were so stubborn. Then he told the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his bad hand was healed.

These are my thoughts. No matter how people are going to react we need to do what God wants us to do.

Mark 3:6 King James Version (KJV) 6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
Mark 3:6 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 6 The Pharisees left. And right away they started making plans with Herod’s followers to kill Jesus. Contemporary English Version (CEV) Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society
These are my thoughts. They looked for those of the world for help in their evil plans, who are we making our plans with, those of God or of the world?

Mark 3:8 King James Version (KJV) 8 And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.
Mark 3:8 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
8 and Jerusalem. People came from Idumea, as well as other places east of the Jordan River. They also came from the region around the cities of Tyre and Sidon. All of these crowds came because they had heard what Jesus was doing.

These are my thoughts. The word about what Jesus is doing still needs to be shared in the world today.

Mark 3:10 King James Version (KJV) 10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
Mark 3:10 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 10 After Jesus had healed many people, the other sick people begged him to let them touch him. Contemporary English Version (CEV) Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society

Mark 3:9 King James Version (KJV) 9 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.
Mark 3:9 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
9 He even had to tell his disciples to get a boat ready to keep him from being crushed by the crowds.

These are my thoughts. Sometimes we like Christ need to remove ourselves from our duty, we do this so we can refocus on the Lord.

Mark 3:11 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
11 And whenever any evil spirits saw Jesus, they would fall to the ground and shout, “You are the Son of God!”

Mark 3:12 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
12 But Jesus warned the spirits not to tell who he was.

Mark 3:15 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
15 and to force out demons.

16 Simon was one of the twelve, and Jesus named him Peter.

17 There were also James and John, the two sons of Zebedee. Jesus called them Boanerges, which means “Thunderbolts.”

These are my thoughts. James and John were two of Jesus’ closest disciples they were two of His first, they were found fishing and called, and James would be the first martyr of Jesus’ twelve disciples, John would be the last to die of the twelve.

Mark 3:18 King James Version (KJV) 18 And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
Mark 3:18 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus were also apostles. The others were Simon, known as the Eager One,
Contemporary English Version (CEV) Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society
These are my thoughts. Andrew was Peter’s brother and one of Jesus’ first disciples. Philip also one of Jesus’ first disciples from the same town as Peter, Andrew and James and John, Bartholomew was a close friend or may have been related to Philip. Matthew was the tax collector called by Jesus. James may have been Matthew’s family member. Thaddaeus this may have been the other Jude. Simon very little is known about him.

19 and Judas Iscariot, who later betrayed Jesus.

20 Jesus went back home, and once again such a large crowd gathered that there was no chance even to eat.

Mark 3:22 King James Version (KJV) 22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
Mark 3:22 Contemporary English Version (CEV)
22 Some teachers of the Law of Moses came from Jerusalem and said, “This man is under the power of Beelzebul, the ruler of demons! He is even forcing out demons with the help of Beelzebul.”
Contemporary English Version (CEV) Copyright © 1995 by American Bible Society
These are my thoughts. Sometimes people may say things that are not true about us to make us look bad, we should not allow this to have us stop serving the Lord and make us forget whose we are.

23 Jesus told the people to gather around him. Then he spoke to them in riddles and said: How can Satan force himself out?
