The Webster dictionary defines a cult as thus: a small religious group that is not part of a larger and more accepted religion and that has beliefs regarded by many people as extreme or dangerous.
As a Christian man, born-again, washed in the blood of the Lamb and made clean, I am going to proceed with as much love as possible for the lost. I love you all, in the same way Christ loved, gracefully and completely. Having said that, the Bible tells us to judge with righteous judgment ( "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." -Matthew 7:1-5) I will tell you that any 'denomination' that does not recognize Jesus Christ as the only Son of God, as well as not recognizing God as the One and True God, is a cult, just as damaging as The Manson Family or Branch Dividians.
Mormons
Your doctrine of God being one of many gods, and that we can be like Him is preposterous. Nowhere in Scripture does this occur, only in the visions of a man filled with the spirit of antichrist (1 John 2:22). A few other doctrinal fallacies are polygamy, the virgin Mary, and that Smith holds the keys to Salvation. Unfortunately for Mormons, these and many other false teachings prevent them from seeing the truth that Jesus came to bring upon the world. Repent and follow Christ in truth and righteousness, or trust in your own understanding and be left wanting on the day of Judgment.
Jehovah Witnesses
You have believed a lie from the beginning. You allow yourselves to be ruled from New York by a council of elders. If more true Christians were as on fire for Christ, as you are for your 'false Christ', the world would be better off. You believe that Jesus was actually an angel and never really God in flesh. This is false teaching propagated by a man named Charles Taze Russel who believed that no other interpretation other than his own was true. What was even worse, is that all of his followers believed the same thing. In your worldview, hell is not a real place (Mark 9:43), Salvation is through works, and Jesus was only spiritually raised, not physical. Repent and follow Christ in truth and righteousness, or trust in your own understanding and be left wanting on the day of Judgment.
Catholics
Catholics have been viewed as a representation of Christ throughout all of history. Whatever they do, the secular world attributes it to all Christians. What most people do not understand is that Catholicism is responsible for more Christian deaths than just about every other persecuting religion. What were our crimes? Trying to reform the 'Church'
into an image of Christ, instead of the political spearhead it had become.
History seems to push that out of their minds. We suffered, just as the Muslims, Jews, and African-Americans. However, the only difference is that we didn't get memorials or apologies from the offending parties. And, nor should we. Those defenders of the faith are waiting for their triumphant return with Christ during the End Times. My point is that Catholics are not Christians, anymore than ISIS is necessarily Islam.
There are many choices for false doctrines with Catholicism. The rosary, Mother of God, praying to saints, works based Salvation, and infant baptism are only a few. Purgatory, transubstantiation, and the infallibility of the Pope. These are by no means an exhaustive list. However, I could talk late into the night about false doctrines. For now, I will hold my peace.
